Strega is a celebration of the darkness within the archetype of the witch, the enchanting esoteric, and the otherworldly. As the viewer moves through the space, they will be greeted by a plethora of symbols that allude to the liminal. These symbols include ravens, skulls, and eyes, for example. This inbetween space is where witches thrive. They see life and death as equals. They have a sight that reaches past this world into the unseen world. The witch is mysterious and often a trickster, siding neither with good nor bad. Witches have fun unapologetically and do what they want, when they want to. This exhibition challenges the viewer to question what they know of the witch in modern times and invites the audience into the enchanting realm the witch exists within.
